For the purpose of this Contest, the following terms shall means:
“Contest” means the Royal Canadian Mint – Face of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
“Entrant” means the participant to the Contest.
“Games” means the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
“Grand Prize” means a trip for _2_ to Ottawa, Ontario, and as more detailed herein.
“Microsite” means the contest website: face.mint.ca/visage.monnaie.ca
“Prize” means the Royal Canadian Mint Vancouver 2010 Products listed under Appendix A.
“Sponsor”: means the Royal Canadian Mint, a Federal Crown corporation constituted as per the Royal Canadian Mint Act.
“Submission” means either a video of the Entrant, or a photo of the Entrant (including a written essay) explaining and detailing why the Entrant is the best Vancouver 2010 fan.
Eligible Period:
From February 10, at 12:00 p.m. E.S.T. to 11:59 a.m. on March 21, 2010 (“Eligible Period”), subject to the Rules and Regulations (the “Rules”), and consist of three (3) phases, each set forth below:

Video and Written Essay Submission
Guidelines
(a) Video: Video must not exceed 100mb and must be submitted in one of the following video formats: AVI, MOV, WMV, MP4, MPEG, FLV, 3GP, and 3G2.
(b) Photo for written essay: No larger than 5MB. The photo should be in one of the following formats: gif, jpg, or jpeg
(c) Written Essay: the Entrant will write his/her written essay within the text box located on the Microsite. The Written Essay will include a maximum of 250 words.
Content Restrictions:
From all Submission received during the Eligible Period, the Sponsor will verify and judge all Submission on a daily basis. Should Entrant’s Submission qualifies and respect the content mentioned above, the Entrant’s Submission will be posted on the Micrositeand therefore, considered a valid entry, (after “Valid Entry”) for the purpose of this Contest.
Voting Phase:
The winner of each Grand Prize will be selected according to the following criteria:
The Grand Prize winner will be the Submission that receives the most votes during the contest period. One (1) Grand Prize for the Video Submission, One (1) Grand Prize for the Written Essay. An entrant can only win one prize.
The Voting Phase will be from February 10, 2010 and effective until March 21, 2010. During the Voting Phase, all Valid Entries will be posted on the Microsite in the ‘Stories’ section. Subject to the restrictions indicated herein, members of the public will be able to vote for the Submission (Valid Entry) they believe represent the most Vancouver 2010 Fan. For sake of clarity, voter will vote for the video that represents the most Vancouver 2010 Fan, and for the written essay that the voter believe represent the most Vancouver 2010 Fan. The voting will be online following the instruction indicated within the voting page.
Voting Limit: Each voter shall vote one (1) vote, per entry, per day (voter can vote for more than one submission) per day during the voting phase. On the same day, multiple votes received from any person or email address after the first vote is received from that person or email address will be void. Multiple voters are not permitted to share the same email address. Any attempt by any voter to submit more than the stated number of votes by using multiple/different email addresses, identities or other method will void that voter’s submission(s) and votes and he/she will be disqualified from further participation in the Contest.
Upon the end of the Voting Phase, in the event of a tie among two (2) or multiple Valid Entries, the Valid Entry that will have been submitted the first will be declared the winner.
The chance of being selected depends on the number of valid entries/submissions received before the end of the Eligible Period.
Prize Description:
The Sponsor is offering the following Grand Prizes and Prizes.
Two (2) Grand Prizes – (Video & Photo)
There will be two (2) Grand Prizes each consisting of: Each winner will receive:
Four (4) Prizes – (Video (2) & Photo/Written Essay (2))
There will be four (4) Prizes (2 for the Photo / Written Essay, 2 for the Video). These will each be RCM numismatic Games products. Approximate value $500 CDN each. A full description of the prizes is listed under Appendix A.
Note: The Grand Prize winners will not be eligible to win the Prize.
The Grand Prize and Prize may not be sold, transferred and is not convertible for cash.
The Sponsor reserves the right to substitute the Grand Prize and/or Prize in whole or in part in the event that all or component of the Grand Prize and/or Prize are unavailable.
Who Can Enter:
The Contest is open only to legal resident of Canada who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of the entry. Employee of the Sponsor, and any of their parents and affiliate companies , the Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (VANOC), as well as the immediate family and household members of each such employee are not eligible.
Winner Requirements:
Grand Prize Winner
Each potential winner will be notified by mail, email or phone on or about 24 March 2010. The potential Grand Prize winners will be required to execute and return to the Sponsor within five (5) days of the notice or attempted notice sent a declaration of acceptance, a liability/publicity release in order to claim his/her Grand Prize. The potential winner will also be requested to answer a mathematical skill question. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to execute and return the declaration of acceptance and the liability/publicity release within the required time period, is not in compliance with the Official Rules such potential winner forfeits the prize.
Should a potential winner for the Grand Prize forfeits his/her Grand Prize for any of the reasons mentioned above, the Submission (Valid Entry) with the second highest vote within the category where the potential winner was originally from (either Video or Written Essay) will be considered a new potential winner, and so on and so forth.
Prize Winner
Each potential winner will be notified by mail, email or phone on or about 24 March 2010. The potential Prize winners will be required to execute and return to the Sponsor within five (5) days of the notice or attempted notice sent a declaration of acceptance, a liability/publicity release in order to claim his/her Prize.
