
Last game of the Canada US hockey series and we were on a ski trip in the US. Checking in at our hotel in Maine we watched the game in the lobby with our US fans. The cheers from the Canadians outnumbered our US counterparts A friendly rivalry begin with the spectators in the lobby, our Canadian Maple Leafs displayed in numbers. . Finally, our room was ready so we finished the game there. You could hear the cheers from the adjacent rooms and then silence when the tying goal was scored by the US in the final seconds.
When Sydney Crosby scored that winning goal the cheers were loud and then in the hallway we heard people singing Oh Canada.
The doors flew open, people cheering and to our surprise a group of teenagers were going down the hall singing our anthem with pride.
Everyone cheered and joined in singing O'Canada. What a moment to remember and especially memorable being on US soil celebrating with fellow Canadians. What a way to pull a country together and celebrate with pri
