The games have been a journey for me.I have experienced this with my fellow Canadians and I have felt extreme pride and patriotism. It began when I took my family to see the mascots at our local community centre.I felt like a big kid filled with excitement as we had our picture taken with Sumi, Miga and Quatchi. Then in November we had the priviledge of being one of the stops for the torch relay.I was filled with immense pride as I watched my daughter perform on stage and her choir sing our national anthem. And in February on a whim we decided with our friends to take a day trip to Vancouver to see Robson Square and the Olympic cauldron.During our travels we experienced the Canadian way. From making sure we made it to our destination to laughing with us when we felt like country folk in the big city and by simply offering your help you made this a memorable experience for us! I can now cross this life changing experience off my bucket list.My name is Erika and I am proud to be Canadian!
