My name is Marlin and with my youngest brother I attended the Vancouver 2010 Olympic games. It was such an incredible experience That actually started a few months earlier when I had the amazing opportunity to be a part of the torch relay! February 12th finally rolled around and we were at BC Place to witness the Opening Ceremonies. A few days later we were up at Cypress Mountain watching Alex Bilodeau win the first ever gold medal on Canadian soil. I've never felt so patriotic in my entire life! The fun and the medals continued to accumulate and I was always prepared with my cowbell. You may not have seen me on tv, but I'm sure you heard me ringing my cowbell pretty much through every single event (and we went to 20 of them throughout the Olympics!) The athletes win the medals but I think all Canadians are the true winners when we're brought together to celebrate the greatness of our country!
