I am the face of the games because the Olympics I have learned no matter what adversity our nation has faced, it can be proud of what has been accomplished during these historic games. Individuals such as Joannie Rochette taught me that no matter what life throws at you, you can dig deep and come through with courage and determination that earns you the respect of people for what you have done; Cyndi Klaussen, who despite two knee operations still went ahead and competed to the best of her physical ability. Our games have taught me to be humble and accept what happens with a smile on your face as Clara Hughes, who despite winning a bronze medal, accepted it graciously and happily. These Olympics have also taught me that we as Canadians can come together and achieve the impossible. We came together patriotically as a nation displaying our pride like never before. I am proud of our athletes as we won more gold than any other host nation. We do own the podium with more gold than we dreame
